QR code is the abbreviation for Quick Response Code invented in 1994 by Denso Wave for tracking vehicles during manufacture; it was first designed to allow high-speed component scanning and It by far one of the most popular types of two-dimensional barcodes. It is attached to a product or an item and can be optically read by a QR scanner or software that displays informations contained on that product or item. These information encoded in a QR code may contain four types ("modes") of Standardize data through supported extensions and reads virtually any type of data it contains. they may include numerals, alphanumeric characters, byte or binary, Kanji e.t.c

A pictorial view of a QR code consists of black square dots aligned on a square grid normally on a white background which is readable via an optical device such as a camera or scanner. it is processed interpreted appropiately by a device or smartphone until the data contained in the scanned photo is then extracted from patterns present in both horizontal and vertical components of the image.

Now, you may ask "How do I get a QR code for my product or item? ". There are many services out there that generates Links to Qr Codes for free E.g. and This is normally know as Hard linking or Object Hyperlinking

Like I said earlier, QR codes were made for tracking vehicles during manufacture. Today, QR codes have now become a common tool used in various consumer advertising. Standard websites and products owners now give out sparingly enough QR codes of their product to the general audience. some QR codes may contain URL links that takes you to the product's web page for further information using ur smartphone or a scanner attached to your computer

It is very common to see advertisers place QR Codes on banners, magazines, photos, newspapers, and even on streetwalls. Incase you have been seeing them and you're are wondering what it is, then grab your smarphone or tablet and take a shot of it with a QR Code Scanner to see what information it exactly contain. What you might see may take you to a web page where all the information on the displayed QR code code contain.

QR codes also may be used to track the location where a code has been scanned. It can be retrieved in dual ways it is either the app or software used as the QR code Scanner retrieves the Geographical information by using GPS and cell tower triangulation (aGPS) or a URL or meta data encoded in the QR code itself is associated with a location

Google has a popular API to generate QR codes , and apps for scanning QR codes can be found on nearly all smartphone devices.

Since the mid of last 2 years ( since 2011 ), according to one study, 14 million mobile users were accounted to have scanned a QR code or a barcode. it was also given that 60% of these users scanned a QR or barcode from their homes, while the rest 40% scanned from retail stores; Further statics accounts for 53% of the 14 million users were said to be men between the ages of 18 and 35. The South Koreans were known to be the first to use QR Codes for Virtual Store purpose, and beginning to gain massive users globally.

Bank details such as credit card information, bank account information, pins and pass phrases are encoded in QR codes to ease payment of goods and carry out other financial transactions. Today there are thousands of site that offer products and services using scanned bar codes and QR codes

QR codes can be used to log in into websites and web portals for unrestricted access. The user is normally prompted to scan the QR Code as it's shown on the login page on a computer screen with a verified smartphone. By doing so they are automatically logged in on the computer. Authentication is performed by the smartphone which contacts the site's server. A QR code login method called "Sesame"zzzz. This method of user authentication was first trialled by Google in January 2012.

Although they may not be boundless in use but have been used in few implementation. Encrypted QR codes, which are not very common, have a few implementations. An Android app, for example, manages encryption and decryption of QR codes using the DES algorithm (56 bits).

The risk of Using QR CODES may tend to harm users as certain malicious links and Items may be encoded into QR codes. This is normally known as "attagging", a portmanteau of "attack tagging". In this Case I would advice you scan QR codes from trusted people and organizations. They are easily created and can be affixed over legitimate QR codes

linking to malicious sites with browser exploits, enabling the microphone/camera/GPS, streaming feeds from your device to a remote server, analysing your sensitive data such as passwords, contacts and all transactions made by you, and sending unsolicited emails/SMS/IM messages or DDOS packets as part of a botnet on your behalf, tempering with your privacy settings, stealing your identity, malicious JavaScript and virus. These actions could occur in the background without your consent while you are going about your normal daily web surfing. Cases Have been reported In Russia Where malicious QR code scanned with smartphones ended up sending premium texts at a fee of US$6 each.

My advice is that you should be careful of the Codes you scan.

Installing a just downloaded theme to your blackberry device manually with Blackberry Desktop Manager may not be as easy as installing the theme from a .jad file straight from the internet( Over The Air (OTA)method ).

I will be walking you through the stages involve in doing this with just less than 7 steps. All you have to do is download the Zip file or folder containing the theme, either from blackberry world or and follow the rest instruction.

The New SONY PS4 is now Officially Out. I know after a much waited time and anticipation, you would be in a hurry to see or know what the New Sony PS4 looks like before going ahead to pull out your wallet.

The new Play station 4 was first announced at E3 in a press conference on the 20th February, 2013. The New PS4 is in a bid to compete with the likes Nintendo's Wii U and Microsoft's Xbox One.

The New Ps4 is really out to beat off rivals with its new features that guarantees a wonderful User based experience in terms of design, game controller, User Interface, dual camera.

PS4 is a rhomboid shaped gadget and has a sleek design and visually appealing. It appears pretty slimmer than the Xbox One and it is does not at all carry that fancy look to me.

The PlayStation Eye (camera ) has been redesigned.and now comes with both 1280×800px cameras. The dual camera allows you to carry out several modes of operation, depending on the target application. The two cameras can be used together for depth-sensing of objects in its field of vision where by one of the cameras can be used for generating the video image, with the other used for motion tracking.

The PlayStation 4 now substitute the XrossMediaBar with a completely new user interface. there is also an improvement in user profile for players that now shows details such as recent activity, their full name and other details in addition to their unlocked Trophies. The PS4 home screen now features personalized content from friends. Other Services from third-party vendors, such as Netflix and Amazon Instant Video, will also be accessible within the new interface. It is also possible to carry out multiple task during game play, such as opening a web browser while playing a game as well.

    PS4 Online services

Sony openly said the PS4 does not necessary require an Internet connection so as to function completely, but some of it services and features will sure be richer when the User is online. The PlayStation Network (PSN) will allow players to access a variety of cloud-based services from the PlayStation Store including Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited subscription services. Customers can browse titles and stream games via Gaikai to try them out almost instantaneously. Online multiplayer access requires a subscription to PlayStation Plus. Sony intends to expand and evolve the services it offers over the PlayStation 4's lifespan.

The DualShock 4 is said to be the PS4's main controller. Similar to the DualShock 3, it will connect to the console via Bluetooth 2.1+EDR. The DualShock 3, however, will not be compatible with PS4. The DualShock 4 will be equipped with several new features, including a built-in two-point capacitative touch pad on the front of the controller, which can be clicked. The controller will support motion detection via a three-axis gyroscope and three-axis accelerometer and improved vibration. It will include a non-removable, rechargeable lithium-ion battery tentatively capable of storing 1000 mAh. The tentative design weighs 210 g (7.4 oz), has dimensions of 162 × 52 × 98 mm (6.4 × 2.0 × 3.9 in), and has a rubber or etched plastic backing to enhance grip.

Cost and Availability Of PS4 in NIGERIA

The PS4 is going to cost $400 (which is about N60,000), and will be available as soon as possible. That puts it at a hundred dollars cheaper than the Xbox One, although it's worth remembering that the Xbox One comes bundled with a Kinect 2.

It's an aggressive price, though, one that Sony needed to hit to make itself an attractive Xbox One alternative. If nothing else, the choice is clear: Do you want a living room portal that happens to play (some extremely good) games? Or a less expensive gaming machine (with some extremely good online content) that doesn't have much of an exclusive identity?

For the gaming community, the edge pretty clearly goes to the PS4 right now. Used games aren't tainted by DRM restrictions, the console itself is cheaper, the graphics are sublime. The question is: What about everyone else? We'll have to wait until the holiday season for any sort of definitive answer.

If you have an email address and you really want those spam messages to stay clear off your inbox, then you have to read this. Almost like everyday, most internet users gets chunks of spam messages being delivered into their inbox without their consent. And they are left with the question "how did this [***SPAMMER***] get my email address ?". How the sender got your email may not be issue but how often you keep exposing your email address and he/she keeps sending you that annoying crap or story line always. But sometime it is more easier to blame it on yourself due to carelessness on our own part ( I mean no offense). By doing so, you leave SPAM BOTS and spammers who uses Email Extractors to have quick access to your Email address.

That's why I don't buy the Idea of you Leaving your e-mail address on my blog ( will be doing so at your own risk). Instead I see no wrong making use of the comment box below if ever you want to be heard or pass across any information for users and visitors of this blog.
If you really want to stop receiving those Spam messages (unwanted messages), then you must harken to the rest instructions and steps listed below in this post

To stop receiving spam Emails on Yahoo! Mail. Log on to Yahoo! Mail on your DESKTOP and place search out the spam email. (likely to be in your spam folder)

Place the cursor over the sender's name in your mail folder. The real email address should appear in a tool tip.

From the Image below, you can see, the labellings A and B

    A. carries the sender's name while B. tells you the real email address of the sender. ( Take Note)

Wait a minute I think I should make something clear here before we continue You may still get the same type of spam messages timelessly even if you end up blocking the sender with the below steps. Some spammers are very crafty and uses different names with the same domain, such as and
In this case, you are to block the domain and not a specific email address or even the both. For instance, from the illustration above, you're to block the domain name. If you must also know, on the other hand some spammers are not predictable in how they create their addresses, as such my suggestion concerning blocking the both may not guarantee you to stop receiving spam messages completely. although it might reduce the messages from Spammers.

Click the gear icon (Gear Icon) in the upper-right corner of the window, and select Mail Options from the menu that appears. (In Mail Classic, select Options | Mail Options.)
On the left pane of the Options page, click Blocked Addresses (in Mail Classic, click Spam). In the Add an address box (in Mail Classic, Add a Blocked address), type the email address or domain of the Spammer that you want to block forever.
Click the "+" button to the right of the box (in Mail Classic, click Add).

    Block address

The address or domain is added to your list of blocked addresses, and you should no longer receive email from that address. You can use this method to block up to 500 email addresses and domains from different senders. You are also able to see how many you've blocked on the left side of the list, for example, "3 of 500 used." Please note that in cases where the spammer uses a Yahoo Id, Only the Email address should be blocked Not the Domain Name. Blocking the domain can stop you from receiving emails from other Users with yahoo ID

    To Ublock Address

To Unlock any Email address, Simply select the email address you want to remove from the list and click the Trash Can Icon as shown above, to remove the address from your block List.
